We asked ChatGPT a strange question: what new emotions might emerge as humans form increasingly intimate relationships with AI?

It answered by inventing a new emotional vocabulary. We turned that vocabulary into a retro-futuristic crash course for humans entering the age of AI.

Life in the Age of AI

At the Van Leer Innovation Festival, visitors encountered the crash course across individual screens and headphones — coming face-to-face with a new vocabulary for life with AI.

The project grew out of The Generator, Van Leer Jerusalem Institute’s AI lab, where AI Relationships received First Prize.
